Faith Oliver-Jeffro’s Story

I was at choir rehearsal at church with the worst headache of my life like the week after the Fourth of July.

I literally just thought it was a sinus headache, went to urgent care they sent me home with minimal instructions. I couldn’t bare the pain went to the ER the next day waited in the ER for over 4 hours with no help, crazily drove on the highway for 20 minutes to Kirby medical center to be seen immediately & have a CT scan & found the bleeding on my brain.

Was rushed to St. John’s in Springfield, Illinois where ongoing testing was conducted to find out I had a brain aneurysm that had raptured. They gave me three options but I trusted God & asked for a second opinion where I was referred to my neurosurgeon Dr. Kolpenstein & after that it was history. I felt like God sent me to him purposely, he was top/expert in this type of surgery, he spoke of taking God in every operation with him, God being a Sovereign God & working through his hands & my family fell in love with him.

He did my surgery on September 22nd 2025. I spent about a week in the hospital afterwards & will have been home about exactly a week tomorrow. I go get my 35 staples removed on my birthday on the 7th. I just want to tell the world to listen to the signs of your body, know your body & don’t ignore your body, it’s the simple things that can save your life!!!!
