Two years ago, my life changed forever. My dream of being a Marine, remains a dream. I was flirting with death, as I almost lost my life from a brain aneurysm at Marine Corps Officer Candidates School (OCS).
Instead of mourning about what happened, I decide to celebrate my second chance at life.
The recovery was a slow but sure process. I occasionally found myself frustrated with the slow pace. For the first month, I couldn’t hit the gym, drive, nor run. But I knew that there is light at the end of this lengthy tunnel – and I was right!
In addition to beating the brain aneurysm, I treated myself to a new life, and am in a much better place overall! I am just getting started.
