The Bee Foundation mentors apply their lived experience as it relates to aneurysm to the challenges faced by another person living with a connection to aneurysm. A mentor listens non-judgmentally and without making assumptions to the problems and experiences of their mentee and provides insight and guidance from their own experience. Some challenges that may be faced by mentees include grieving there pre-aneurysm self, struggling to maintain a positive attitude, not knowing how to set goals for their recovery, and adjusting to life with new abilities or restrictions.
