Kym was a real estate agent when her life suddenly changed.
A stroke, caused by an aneurysm that suddenly ruptured. She was put into a medically induced coma for five days. When she came out of the coma, she had to learn to swallow, eat, drink, talk (she had aphasia), walk all over again.
Kym is living with the effects of stoke, nearly four years later. She is in a wheelchair. Having right-sided paralysis. She is still working on her voice.
She used to be lead singer in rock and roll band, also she used to drum and play bass guitar. Life is certainly different now. Now she goes to church, and bible study each week.
Every three months, she goes to the neurologist for her Botox injections (28 of them) for her spasticity (arm and leg).
She wants other to know that what you do with your life matters. Even if the opposite happens. What you do, matters. Get your blood pressure checked. Keep a daily log.
