On April 19th 2026 my life changed forever.
I received a phone call, in the middle of the night, from my son’s girlfriend that my son was having a seizure. I awoke , confused, scared and wishing it was a dream. I met my son at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA where I found out he had a brain aneurysm that had ruptured. This is a mother’s worse nightmare, one I would never wake up from.
I did start a blog on Facebook called “Bobo’s fight ” on Facebook Saint Vincent was unable to provide him the trauma care he needed so Jordan was transferred to UPMC Hamot in Erie. Within the first 24 hours Jordan had surgery to attempt to repair the aneurysm with a stent. He was awake within less than 24 hours of the procedure. He began moving his arms, he was alert. We saw improvements and had hope.
On April 25th, his ICP’s spiked and we discovered the stent shrunk and allowed blood to get through and supply more blood to the aneurysm, which caused more bleeding and swelling in his brain. After this his ICP’s were uncontrollable. He had 4 drains put in the remove cerebral spinal fluid and relieve pressure, 3 in his head and 1 in his spine. None of these drains would work properly and continued to clot.

On April 26th, Jordan was re-intubated to allow his brain rest. April 27th Jordan had an emergency craniotomy. Unfortunately Jordan never recovered. His carotid artery stopped supplying blood to his brain and he was pronounced dead on May 4th. Those 14 days in the hospital were pure torture for a mother.
Jordan was 21, young, and athletic with so much life to live. 1 week prior to this he played in a championship volleyball game for his college team at Chatham University. Jordan is deeply missed and I am not sure how life is supposed to continue without him.
