Ebony Richardson’s Story

I immediately suffered a seizure reaction after passing out with no signs/symptoms prior.

Last year 2025 Enjoying July 4th holiday amongst friends & family never expected to wake up the next day in ICU recovering from emergency craniotomy surgery because I had suffered a ruptured aneurysm. I was devastated I had no idea I had been living with an aneurysm.

The words of my surgeon stick with me to this day “you arrived to the hospital just in time”. Later discovering after displaying seizure-like activity after passing out my family got me to the nearest hospital in 9 minutes, upon arrival I suffered another seizure while being prepped for a scan and was then life flighted to to another facility for immediate critical care.

I spent 4 weeks in the hospital worrying about my family, my job and my future after being told my left side was not responding. During my hospital stay I prayed hard and my prayers combined with prayers from others, my support system, the gifted hands of the medical team ,and that “9 minute drive” saved my life.

Admitted 7/4/25 discharged 7/22/25, weeks of therapy allowing me to return to work 9/8/25. I was even able to participate in the Annual Brain Aneurysm Walk/Race hosted by THE CLEVELAND CLINIC FOUNDATION 8/25. I continue my healing journey spreading awareness and sharing my story.
