TBF “Queen Bees” Team Spreads Brain Aneurysm Awareness at the Queen of Prussia 10K/5K!

Date: Sunday, September 8th, 2024

Location: King of Prussia Town Center, PA

Event: Queen of Prussia 10K/5K Run/Walk for Women

This past Sunday, on a crisp and beautiful September morning, the TBF “Queen Bees” team proudly joined hundreds of women at the Queen of Prussia 10K/5K, a highly anticipated event dedicated to empowering women through fitness. This year’s race was particularly special as the Queen Bees took to the course not only to celebrate health and strength but also to spread vital awareness about brain aneurysms.

The Buzz Around the Race: A Hive of Activity

The Queen Bees team brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the King of Prussia Town Center, with participants ranging from seasoned runners to first-time walkers, all united by a common purpose. Sporting their official TBF race tees, the Queen Bees stood out in the crowd, creating a powerful visual representation of solidarity and support for brain aneurysm awareness.

Before the race, the team gathered for a group photo, proudly displaying their TBF tees. The camaraderie and spirit among the Queen Bees were infectious, setting a positive tone for the event.

Race Day Experience

As the race kicked off at 7:30 am, the Queen Bees buzzed through the scenic course, cheered on by friends, family, and supporters who lined the streets of the King of Prussia Town Center. With each step, the team not only advanced toward the finish line but also carried forward the mission of The Bee Foundation: to save lives by raising awareness of brain aneurysms and funding critical research.

Whether running the 10K or walking the 5K, each Queen Bee participant exemplified the strength and resilience of women, mirroring the very essence of the race’s purpose. The event was more than just a race; it was a platform to amplify our message and educate others about the risks and signs of brain aneurysms.

A Sweet Success: Fundraising Impact

In addition to their physical efforts on race day, the Queen Bees also made significant strides in fundraising. We are thrilled to share that the team collectively raised over $2,000, all of which will go directly toward advancing brain aneurysm research and increasing awareness. This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our team members and the generosity of their supporters.

Gratitude and Next Steps

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every member of the Queen Bees team, as well as to all who donated and supported us along the way. Your contributions are helping us move closer to a future where brain aneurysms can be detected and treated before they become life-threatening.

This race was just one step in our ongoing journey, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to come together as a community. Stay tuned for more events, and don’t forget to continue spreading the word and raising awareness throughout Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month.
