I suffered from a ruptured brain aneurysm back in April 2021, unbeknownst to me… woke up on a Sunday morning… asked my husband to call 911, as I knew something was wrong.
I ended up dying in the ambulance on the way to the hospital… and in the smallest of worlds, the ER doctor that brought me back to life was a friend of mine from my gym!!! I was very active in CrossFit at the time… I’m convinced it’s the reason, I’m still here.
Now, I compete as an adaptive CrossFit athlete and ended up making it to the adaptive CrossFit games in 2025 in Las Vegas in the neuromuscular major category.
I still suffer from major deficits, such as terrible balance and vision, but have worked hard to learn to adapt and overcome. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we have a 13-year old daughter.
