On May 24th, 2026, family, friends, and supporters gathered at Ledge Meadows Golf Course for the First Annual Brad Sykes Memorial Golf Benefit, a day dedicated to honoring Brad’s life, celebrating his love of golf, and supporting a cause that held deep meaning for those who loved him. Despite rainy weather throughout the day, the turnout, generosity, and spirit of the participants made the event an overwhelming success.
The outing featured a four-person scramble tournament, raffles, prizes, food, and plenty of opportunities for friends and family to reconnect while sharing memories of Brad. What began as a way to honor a beloved husband, father, family member, and friend quickly became something even greater: a community coming together to make a difference.
Thanks to the incredible support of everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, and volunteered, the event raised more than $3,000 for The Bee Foundation. Supporting this mission in Brad’s memory made the day especially meaningful and allowed his legacy to inspire hope and impact far beyond the golf course.
The success of the event would not have been possible without the generosity of the sponsors and supporters. We extend our sincere gratitude to Meijer, BJ’s, Cugino’s, and Grand Pointe Marina for their contributions and commitment to making the outing a success. Their support helped create an enjoyable experience for everyone involved while advancing an important cause.
While the weather may not have cooperated, the enthusiasm and camaraderie on display throughout the day never wavered. Golfers embraced the challenge, participants enjoyed the festivities, and supporters rallied together to honor Brad in a way that reflected his spirit, through laughter, friendship, and a shared love of the game.
On behalf of Janice, Shannon, Sherry, and the entire TBF Team, thank you to everyone who helped make this inaugural event such a success. Your generosity, support, and presence meant more than words can express.
We are already looking forward to next year and continuing this tradition for years to come. Thank you for helping us honor Brad’s memory in such a meaningful way, and we hope to see you all back on the course again soon.
