On June 9th, 2026, the TBF community came together for our annual Summer Golf Classic at Union League Liberty Hill, and what a day it was. Under brilliant blue skies and perfect summer weather, more than 110 golfers and 140 reception guests gathered not only for a day of golf, but for a cause that touches countless lives. The energy was contagious, the laughter was constant, and the sense of community was unmistakable.
Most importantly, because of our loyal, generous, and compassionate supporters, the 2026 TBF Summer Golf Classic was our most successful golf outing to date. Together, we raised more than $220,000 to advance TBF’s 2027 Research, Awareness, Advocacy, and Support initiatives. Every dollar raised represents hope; Hope for earlier diagnoses; Hope for better treatments; Hope for survivors and their families; Hope for a future with fewer lives forever changed by brain aneurysms.
The day began with a welcoming brunch, where friends, families, & supporters gathered before heading to the course. Golfers tested their skills in the putting contest and then hit the fairways for an exciting afternoon scramble. Armed with educational facts and statistics about brain aneurysms, participants learned more about the cause they were supporting while enjoying a day of friendly competition.
From the chance to win a million dollars and hole-in-one contests to longest drive and closest-to-the-pin challenges, the course was filled with excitement. Congratulations to all of the players who brought their competitive spirit to the course, and a special round of applause to our first-place team of Dave Salinger, Steve Connors, Jon Moloney, and Brett Caffrey, whose outstanding performance earned them the top spot in this year’s tournament.

We also extend our congratulations to our second- and third-place teams, as well as all of our contest winners who rose to the challenge throughout the day. Whether you walked away with a trophy, won a contest, or simply spent the day supporting the cause, every participant helped make this event a tremendous success. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and commitment to TBF’s mission were the true winning score of the day.
Beyond the competition, the day was about something much deeper. It was about sharing stories, reconnecting with friends, honoring loved ones, celebrating survivors, and remembering why this mission matters.
The evening Reception & Program brought that purpose into even sharper focus. Guests heard the powerful and deeply moving story of brain aneurysm survivor Bryn Lander and her mother, Robyn Bowles. Their journey was one of unimaginable challenges, extraordinary resilience, and unwavering hope, a reminder of why TBF’s work is so critical and why our community continues to rally together year after year.

The program also celebrated innovation and progress in aneurysm research. TBF Scientific Advisory Board member Dr. Pascal Jabbour presented the 2026 Rita Skertich Health Equity Grant to Dr. Juan Cebral, whose groundbreaking research reflects the type of transformative work TBF is proud to support.

The evening concluded with an energetic live auction and paddle raise that showcased the extraordinary generosity of our community. Time and again, supporters stepped forward to invest in TBF’s mission, helping us to surpass our fundraising goals and achieve a record-breaking result.
As we reflect on this incredible day, one message rises above all others: thank you.
Thank you for standing with survivors, caregivers, researchers, and families. Thank you for sharing our message, raising awareness, funding research, and helping ensure that no one faces a brain aneurysm alone. Your support is creating real change, and together, we are moving closer to a future where brain aneurysms are better understood, more effectively treated, and ultimately prevented.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all of our event sponsors & donors. Without your support, this event would not have been possible. Thank you for believing in our mission.
