Give N Go Charity Soccer Tournament Raises $6,500 for Brain Aneurysm Prevention

A Powerful Partnership in Motion

In September of 2025, during Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month, the Chicago soccer community came together to support a cause. The Give N Go Charity Soccer Tournament, hosted by Synergy Soccer Club in Chicago’s western suburbs, united teams and fans through spirited competition — all while supporting The Bee Foundation for Brain Aneurysm Prevention (TBF).

This partnership was brought together by TBF Ambassador and BA Survivor Dave Prickett.  Professionally, Dave is a brand designer and comfortable forming alliances and communicating brand messaging. This became the perfect opportunity to partner TBF with the charity tournament, exemplifying what it means to turn passion into purpose. The mission of the Give N Go tournament is to “use soccer to bring people together while supporting those less fortunate”, perfect collaboration with TBF — spreading awareness, raising funds to save lives.

Through design and understanding, Dave was able to enhance online and event communications to improve the charitable tournament experience supporting a cause like The Bee Foundation. Dave was onsite throughout the weekend with his sister Beth Karnes, representing The Bee Foundation!

Making an Impact

Through entry donations, raffle contributions, and community support, the tournament raised over $6,500 for brain aneurysm prevention, research and awareness programs. More importantly, the event reached more than 6,000 participants, many of whom learned about brain aneurysms and The Bee Foundation’s mission for the very first time.

Players, families, and fans were also educated on the signs and symptoms of a brain aneurysm — information that can truly save lives. If even one person walks away from this event able to share those warning signs with a friend or family member, we know it will have been worth it.

The charity raffle featured an incredible lineup of prizes, including signed merchandise by Brad Guyzan USMNT Goalie and Brandi Chastain USWNT, a signed jersey by the entire Chicago Fire team, tickets to Chicago Fire and Chicago Bulls games, European Sports gift card and a 65” OLED TV from Abt Electronics.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the raffle item donors for their generosity and support. Your contributions not only added excitement to the weekend and raised resources that will go toward brain aneurysm research and education, ultimately saving lives.

Adding to the inspiration, local brain aneurysm survivor Melissa Smith joined Dave at the event, connecting with participants and sharing their stories of resilience and hope.

Champions On and Off the Field

Each participating team proudly posed with the Give N Go banner and Champion certificate featuring The Bee Foundation’s mission, symbolizing not only their athletic achievement but also their commitment to helping lead a legacy of hope.

Heartfelt Thanks

The Bee Foundation extends our deepest gratitude to Synergy Soccer Club, especially club president Ben Hinchey, for their partnership and leadership in making this event such a success. And to Dave Prickett, whose energy and advocacy as a TBF Ambassador brought this collaboration to life — thank you for being an extraordinary champion for brain aneurysm prevention.

To all the players, coaches, families, fans, and donors who participated: thank you for turning a weekend of soccer into a weekend of impact.

Together, we are saving lives, one goal at a time.
